Forklift Instructor Training Ottawa - Forklift Instructor training certification is recommended for forklift operators who would like to become instructors. To be able to qualify for forklift instructor training, operators must be able to prove they possess a high level of knowledge about forklift machinery and have good lift truck driving skills. Instructor training typically is held at an equipment sales facility or at the campus of a community college, junior college, or vocational or technical school. Forklift manufacturing companies sometimes offer hands-on, train the trainer, practical courses.

Whether offered in a classroom setting or at a manufacturing company facility, registering for the course would involve paying a tuition fee, and buying manuals, book or other materials. Program length varies depending on the program. Those participating normally must have satisfactory test scores, participation and demonstration during the program to qualify for trainer certification.

It is assumed that the trainee taking the instructor program will have prior experience using forklifts. The subject of Operation consists of instruction about connecting and utilizing, controls and instruments and maneuvering and steering the fork.
